So how does it work?
We harness you into the parachute, which basically feels like you are sitting on a swing. We operate a hydraulic winch system, which means flyers take-off and land directly from the back of the boat. Flyers are winched out into the air from the deck, then winched back in after your flight. You can choose to be dipped in the water or not, therefore, it is not required to wear a bathing suit. Others waiting to fly will ride along in the boat and wait their turn to parasail.
$65 per solo ride, $105 per tandem ride for 600′. Our Stratosphere flight is $85 per solo ride and $125 per Tandem ride at 800′ you also get a free digital download picture of yourself with the upgrade. It is well worth the extra $20 to go 200′ higher.
We are located downtown Coeur d’Alene on the Independence Point City Dock. The dock is just west of the Coeur d’Alene Resort and the same dock as the Sea Planes.
Just about anyone can parasail! In 2012, our oldest flyer was a 98 year-old lady and we also parasailed paraplegics. Even the daring Evil Knievel has parasailed with us in the past! There are, however, maximum and minimum weight restrictions. The maximum weight limit is 375 lbs (combined weight for tandems). The minimum weight limit varies directly with the weather condition but is generally 150 lbs.
Parasailing safely is our greatest concern. The weather plays a big role in if we can fly or not. If it is raining or if there is a thunderstorm close we cancel. If winds get over 15mph or if winds are too gusty on the lake we also cancel. Canceling is hard to do because we hat to disappoint people that were really counting on parasailing but again, safety is very important to us.
Hours of operation
We parasail every hour on the hour from 10am to 7pm (weather permitting.). Sunday through Friday. We are a Seventh-Day Adventist family owned business and close every Saturday.
Length of Ride
Each flyer is in the air for about ten minutes and usually out on the lake for up to an hour, depending on the number of flyers in that given boat. We are allowed to take up to 8 people out on the boat at a time; a rule which we strictly enforce.
We will take photographs of you parasailing, which can be purchased upon your return to the dock. We also have our signature t-shirts available for purchase. We rent out Go Pro Blacks so you can have an awesome personal video of your parasailing experience! After your flight, we give you the SD card and you’ll have it to remember this fun and exciting experience forever. You can also pull pictures off of the Go Pro video and get some amazing shots.
We accept all major credit cards as well as cash. We do not accept checks or foreign credit cards.
